Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 August 2026

1. These terms

These terms apply when you use this website, request a free audit, or access the Rootwork client dashboard. The service is operated by [Legal entity name]. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

Paid work is governed by a separate written proposal or agreement. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement wins.

2. The free audit

The audit is provided free and without obligation on either side. It is our informed opinion about your website and Google Business Profile at the time we look at them. It is not a guarantee of any particular ranking, traffic level, or business outcome, and you are free to act on it yourself or with anyone else.

We aim to return an audit within a few working days but do not commit to a deadline, and we may decline a request.

3. What we do and don't promise

We do not control Google's search or Maps rankings, and nobody can guarantee a position in them. What we commit to is doing the agreed work competently and to the scope described in your proposal.

Rankings and traffic are also affected by competitors, Google policy and algorithm changes, and your own market — none of which are within our control.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate business information, and to have the rights to any content, images, logos, or trademarks you supply for use on your site. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business details we publish on your behalf, such as hours, services, and address.

You agree not to use our services for anything unlawful, and not to misrepresent your business in material we publish for you.

5. Ownership of work

On full payment, you own the website we build for you and the content you supplied. Your domain name remains registered to you throughout.

We keep ownership of any underlying tooling, templates, code libraries, and the Rootwork platform itself. Access to the dashboard is a licence to use it while you are a client, not a transfer of ownership.

You control your own Google Business Profile. We manage it with your permission and you can remove our access at any time.

6. Fees and payment

Fees, payment schedule, and what is included are set out in your proposal before work begins. [Add your payment terms here — deposit, invoicing schedule, late payment terms, and refund position.]

7. Ending the engagement

Either of us may end an ongoing arrangement by giving [30 days] written notice. Work already completed or in progress remains payable. On request we will hand over your site and transfer control of accounts we manage on your behalf.

8. The dashboard

We provide the client dashboard as-is and may change or discontinue features. We aim to keep it available but do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

9. Third-party services

Our services depend on third parties including Google, Supabase, OpenAI, and our hosting provider. We are not responsible for their outages, policy changes, or decisions — including a decision by Google to suspend or alter a business listing.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Subject to that, our total liability arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the [12] months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect losses.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country / State], and the courts of [Country / State] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Contact
